Scott Peters official constituent (.gov) website has a link to sign up for “email newsletter updates on the work I am doing in Congress and how it will affect you.”
As you can see below, ALL (and I mean ALL) his emails are without substance and extremely partisan, spinning uncontrollably and childish.
Friend —
San Diego’s Congressman shouldn’t be determined by how much money the Koch brothers put on TV.
This race should be determined by hard work and the most pressing issues important to every San Diegan. That’s what Scott strives to represent every day in Congress.
But if we don’t respond to their latest Super PAC attack, the Kochs’ money could determine this election.
As of 11am, we’re still $2,200 short of our San Diego Rapid Response Fund goal. Will you help close the gap before midnight?

In 2012, the Koch brothers and their network of Super PACs and outside groups raised and spent $400 million to influence elections in California and across the country.
This time around, they have their sights set on Scott.
Starting today, Americans for Prosperity, the Kochs’ most powerful Super PAC, is launching a brand new ad campaign to try and mislead San Diego voters and tear down Scott’s record. Their campaign is reported to be spending $145,000 over the next three weeks.
If we’re going to win in 2014, we can’t sit quietly in the face of such adversity. We have to respond to each and every attack. We have to get the facts out to voters and tell them about Scott’s problem-solving approach to getting things done.
We’re trying to raise $15,000 by midnight tomorrow for our San Diego Rapid Response Fund. Can Scott count on your support?
Let’s be clear about what’s going on here. The Kochs are trying to prop up their close friend and Tea Party protégé Carl DeMaio to get him to Congress at any cost.
Serving on the San Diego City Council, DeMaio has offered nothing but a divisive agenda that will end up costing San Diegans. We’re not exaggerating about my opponent’s extremist tendencies. Just a few months ago, DeMaio openly praised Texas Senator Ted Cruz, the architect of the government shutdown, when asked how he would change Washington.
Look, this is crucial. We know what it takes to be successful. We know what it takes to win. Now, we just need to execute.
Please chip in $3 or more to help us beat DeMaio and his special interest backers in 2014.

Friend — real quick:
In DC this morning, a leading pundit just listed Scott’s race as a “pure toss-up.”
Are we surprised? Not in the least. They’re focused on all the attack money the Koch brothers and outside Tea Party groups have thrown at Scott.
But here in San Diego, we know better. We know that Carl DeMaio might be well known, but that’s because he’s infamous. Infamous for his Tea Party ties and his extreme record on common sense issues.
That’s where you come in. It’s critical that we raise $10,000 to our San Diego Rapid Response Fund so we can prove to the pundits that our campaign is in a strong position to win.
Will you chip in $3 or whatever you can to make sure we have the resources to beat Carl DeMaio?
Look, this race was never going to be easy. Tea Party groups have already started the attack ads against us, and they’re looking at this district as a top target. So we need to fight back.
Help us show the pundits that our campaign is stronger than ever:

Friend —
I’ll make this quick:
The Koch brothers are going on the air in San Diego, attacking me and everything we’re fighting for. That makes tonight’s January fundraising deadline absolutely critical.
I’m planning to keep fighting for San Diego in 2014 and beyond, but I can’t do it without your help.
Could you click below and make an urgent donation to my campaign? It would mean a lot to me.

Thank you,
Scott

Friend —
I’ll get right to the point.
Carl DeMaio announced he raised almost $400,000 last quarter — more than almost any other challenger.
All that cash will translate into a crushing amount of misleading negative ads against me — ads designed to distract San Diego voters from Carl’s extremist and divisive record.
Look — we don’t have to match DeMaio and his Tea Party backers dollar-for-dollar, but we do have to keep it close. We have to get the facts out to voters and tell them why DeMaio’s far-right policies are wrong for San Diego.
I’ve always known this was going to be a tough race. Secretive outside groups have been targeting me with attacks since virtually my first day in office. Now, as we get closer to election day, these attacks will increase exponentially.
Remember, Carl DeMaio used to work for a group funded by the Koch brothers, the very same people funding the ads against me. They’re willing to do just about anything to see their Tea Party protégé in Congress.
I know we can win this race — we’ve won tough races before. But I need your help right now.
Pitch in today: http://action.
Let’s go.
Scott

Friend —
For at least the third time in the past three months, the Koch brothers are riding in to San Diego to spend heavily for their Tea Party protégé.
Late last night, we learned the Koch brothers are spending over $125,000 to blanket San Diego airwaves with ads against Scott. And we’re certain there’s more where that came from.
But there’s good news too. So far, we’ve received over 2,300 online donations to support Scott’s reelection. That’s because people like you are not willing to let outside big spenders buy this race on behalf of extremists like Carl DeMaio.
Look — we’re running a genuine grassroots campaign, composed of real folks who want to make a difference in our future. But, if we aren’t able to combat the Kochs’ massive ad-buy, we could lose this seat you worked so hard to help us win last time around.
24 HOURS TO GO: Can we count on you to chip in $3 or whatever you can for Scott before midnight tomorrow?
We know what it takes to win. We know what it takes to be successful. We know what it takes to make a difference.
Now we just need you to make it happen.
Please, chip in for Scott: http://action.scottpeters.com/
Thank you,
San Diego for Scott
